There are a few beaches and they are different. Beaches are not the number one reason I like the area, not by a long shot (River lodge has a natural river pool that is more my style, and Kwame Falls was great swimming too, and there are other spots in the area), but they are there and are lovely in their way, and swimmable.
This one is just next to where I was hanging out. I wore water shoes here because we were going on a boat but I'd say its a good idea anyway. My friend's place is just visible in this pic, one of his raised huts with the red roof on the end of the land there.
This one was a lot nicer for swimming, black sand. We took a boat to it but you could hike to it too:
Strawberry Fields resort has this one which you can use on a daily basis for a fee, if you do not stay there:
