<span style="color: #993399"><span style='font-family: Verdana'>Buying a separate seat when flying with an infant? Generally how much extra do these tickets cost? I know that myself or my husband can hold baby on our laps for the flights (we have to take two flights to get to JA).

I'd like to know from those that have traveled with children (particularly infants) how your experience went (paid for an extra seat/held baby in lap). I love to fly but am extremely nervous about flying with baby boy (I hope he doesn't cry the entire two flights [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif[/img]). </span> </span>

He will be 8 mos when we fly - leaving from Cali which usually means going to Miami or ATL (6 hour flights) then connecting from there to Mobay.

He stays the same way (in my lap) but thats on short trips.

LOL he should be old enough to take them by then. Knowing him I'll spend the $ and the stuff won't take cause he'll be too busy fighting it.

The price of the ticket will be full fair or close to it. At that age I never bought a ticket. When you check in if there are extra seats on the plane you can ask if they can seat you in a row of 3 and block the seat so no one will sit there. They are usually very accomodating and will do it for you. That way you don't have to pay for the extra seat. If there are non..then check the car seat and just have him sit on your lap.

I would say you can hold him in your lap just fine girl.

But I did not fly with Imanni till he was 3 so I don't know.

I lurk...read your trip report and loved it. I can't post at work and then when I am home Marley and I run nonstop so no time for posting. She has a friend spending the night so she is actually out of my hair for a minute.
