Enjoyed the walk to my borther's house. I was soo busy taking it all in, I didn't take too many photos.

We relaxed for a couple hours and enjoyed a typical Sunday afternoon in the country. Eating, drinking, listening to music, and running jokes.
A couple guys got hair cuts.

We have dinner plans @ little Ochi. A few friends who were on the island decided to meet for Sunday dinner @ little ochi. After a lazy Sunday afternoon, sis and I decide we don't want to drive, so we enlist one of our brother's to drive us over.
On the way back to the hotel, I took a couple pics out the window. My camera battery fell out. I couldn't find it on the seat, but hoped and prayed it was on the floor of the car. When we arrived back at the hotel, I searched and searched. Couldn't find it. 
My second day of the vacation and I don't have a camera battery. I was down the entire way to little ochie.
Although I perked up a bit when we stopped to get some hot pepper shrimp.
Somewhere deep in St Elizabeth, the car shut off. The sun was almost gone, and we were on a country road with cane fields on either side. And I know my little brother knows squat about cars...

There was a car behind us, and when my brother coasted the car to the side of the road, that car pulled over as well. What were they pulling over for, there was no shop, no turn-off, nothing around this strip of road.
We are sitting in the car and my brother is trying to get the car to start. Nothing. The other car is still pulled over behind us. Finally my brother gets out and pops the hood. Two people from the other car get out and walk over. The two guys spoke to my brother, and then he got back in the car.
He said, the know a mechanic that lives not far, they called him and he is coming by to check it out. The fellow comes, checks it out, does something and the car starts. He then proceeds to do something else that will keep us going until we can get it checked out, and gives my brother some instructions on what to do in case we have a problem again.

Dinner at Little Ochie was delicious as always. I had two garlic lobster tails and one escovietch fish. It was a fun-filled evening. I really enjoyed meeting the JA based family members of some of my friends from the states.
We mixed and mingled, the kids ran around enjoyed exploring the beach. The DJ that night must have been in love, because he kept playing the same loves songs over and over. LOL
It was a good night, we said our goodbyes and everyone went their seperate ways.
Monday morning, we leave the car at the hotel and walk downtown. We spent most of the morning walking around, checking out the old and the new of Barnett St, Church St, Cooke Blvd, Sam Sharpe Sq, and a host of other local sts.
We walk back to the hotel, hot and exhausted. The afternoon is spent sending wish you were here e-mails, and posting facebook status updates.
Today is one of my nephew's birthday, and there will be cake and ice cream.
We head up to country for the birthday party.

Loving this report Pepper - especially since it's a trip to the country
Just today we had our usual discussion about where we would live if and when returning to Jamaica - St. Ann countryside (where 1/2 the family is from) or Kingston (where the other 1/2 is from). I'm sorry...I don't care how fabulous the neighborhood is in Kingston, the Jamaican countryside is tops for me ;-)
We also say "post office" instead of "the post office" when referring to our district post office.
Your nephews are adorable
