and the rest of the house is just as pretty. I love my cousin-in-law's taste and sense of style. She loves colour and knows how to combine them beautifully without it looking overwhelming. Their second level (which they are still working on) looks and feels ALOT like JaJewel's place. Beautiful dark/earthy coloured tile floors and wooden ceilings. Very different from the rest of the house. Just gorgeous.

Nylah, your videos of Fairy Hill bumpy roads are bringing back memories. I know where exactly that is.. I tried to video that road, too, lol. Love it!Comment

the roads are brutal eh?!! A steady camera is not possible

<span style="font-weight: bold">Back to the Blue Mountain Bike Tour</span>
The view of the mountains are incredible. I couldn’t get the settings on my camera to capture the color quality the way I was seeing it so most of what I have is on my camrecorder that of course, as I have mentioned a 100 times is in my brother’s possession.

So a few words are gonna have to do until the videos arrive.
I must give <span style="font-weight: bold">Blue Mountain Bicycle Tours </span>a big thumbs up.
From start to finish these guys were top notch and not to mention entertaining as hell. Wasn’t always laughing with them, more like laughing at them but still laughing nonetheless.
Along the road thru the maroon towns, the driver gave the ubquitious blurb about rastas and its origins. And of course a take heed warning about the dangers of the <span style="font-weight: bold">weed of wisdom</span>…. I had to keep still and not show that I was rolling my eyes because nuff of it was inaccurate....
Anyway, next came the really bad jokes that were funny but in a laugh at you kind of way.
We get to the half way point building and stop for where the tour breaks for brunch. It is a nice wooden structure where you can take in the mountain views and buy the much desired Blue Mountain coffee.
I am still full from my breakfast at Ivanhoe’s but I have never met a fried dumpling I couldn’t eat. :irie Breakfast was quite the feat: fried umplings, scrambled eggs, salfish n cabbage and lots of fruits.
I finished the dumplings and fruit but not much else.
I must say, the staff was very organized and kept you in the loop at all times. The spent time explaining everything and making sure you were clear about how the day was going to proceed and that you had all the safety info under control.
We get a coffee demonstration which I missed most of b/c I was in the washroom
They g thru the entire growth range of the coffee bea. And then allow you to practice roasting the beasns.
While we were eating a torrential downpour started
It was like a snow day in Canada...the rain was coming down so hard it looked like a sheet of white outside the building.
We kill a bit of time before heading out. Thankfully the rain eased up after 15 mins. Then it is time for the bike ride.
We get our gear on and listen to the last safety lecture.
One guide is always ahead of the pack. He radios the main guide about road conditions and any oncoming traffic. If there is any traffic oncoming the main guide radios the other guides placed all throughout the group who then signals for us to pull over until the traffic has passed. If they feel they cant do it in time, they stop the oncoming traffic until all of us have reached the main stopping point and then they let the traffic pass. The tour was well organized and coordinated so you never felt unsafe at all while making your way down hill.
Two videographers that would ride ahead and film you as you came down the hill. I meant to get a copy of the video but I forgot.

I did live on that porch. It was amazing. Not that one, obviously, but one just as nice. It was a lifeline for me when I lived (grew up) in Jamaica.Comment

They were talking about the fish they caught earlier but I missed catching that convo. That one is priceless!

excellent to hear Milo
this was my first time going thru Stony Hill. If we had planned better I would have made time to stop and look around. The area is well nice with some beautiful houses and park like areas.
