The beach was nice, and the lovely TSmall held Lilla and let my husband and I enjoy some time alone floating in the Caribbean...

Then, after asking all week at the condo's then chickening out when he had a chance
Imanni finally got to ride a jet ski Apparently he felt safer with Astley on the front

I know I had more brown stew chicken

Afterwards we headed to TSmall's house for the evening

The grown-ups played dominoes at the big table...



Imanni and Lilla and I played at the small table



And then the princess was all worn out...





Don't ya hate it when your stack of dominoes fall??



And then the prince was wore out too...

<span style="font-size: 11pt">We piled into the car, Lilla sleeping in her Daddy's arms and Imanni and I leaning on either side of him. Darkness was all around as we headed up into the hills. The sudden flicker of little lights ahead of us was prominent in the darkness... I raised up to look as the car slowed to a crawl...

Candles lined the street... up a driveway and all around the yard... there must have been 100 candles on that little plot of land, and the light shown bright.

Astley whispers in my ear it's a dead yard, and in an instant I feel the weight of grief on me. Anyone who has had death in their home knows that weight. It is something that can take years to leave you, and you don't soon forget...

The brightness of the candles and the music coming from the home seem out of place in my American mind... There are people everywhere laughing &amp; drinking. So different from any experience I have had with death... I say a prayer for the family, and as quickly as it came, the light from the candles are gone. Darkness surrounds us once again, and I lay my head back on his shoulder.

Life is so fragile. We must be thankful for every day we have together.

<span style="font-size: 11pt">That night I stayed up late going through the luggage and making sure everything fit back into them...
It was late before sleep finally took me, and it was a fitful sleep at that.
The next day we woke and prepared to head to MoBay for our final night in JA

The driver showed up right on time, and helped carry all the bags to the car.

We were heading up to Dad's when a friend motions the driver to stop. Big roadblock ahead, police stopping everybody

We turn around and go a different way that never happens in the states gotta love Jamaica

This new road I have never been on before. It is </span><span style="font-size: 8pt">tiny</span><span style="font-size: 11pt"> and oh so beautiful

The trees grow over the road, and the green bush on either side is so thick...
so many times I wished that my camera was not packed up in the back...
One day I will ask to take that road again... such a beautiful drive!!

We reach up to the land, and it feels good to see family again.
Everybody gathered around to see the wedding pictures on the computer:





and Miss Lilla and I got to hug up Grandpa some more





I never met a man his age that was so sweet and so shy...

This is the kind of trip report I like,it's got all my favourite ingredients in it, breadfruit trees,mango trees,coconut trees,ackee,river,....and most of all happy smiling faces of real people,congrats bandana to you and your husband and family.

Wish I knew the name of that flower too,it is one of my favourite jamaican flower,it has a pretty gorgeous scent.

Bandanna, I’m so happy to see the outpouring of love in the responses and as well as the love that is shared between you and your family with each post.

I am very happy for you and I am glad that you invited me to share in this journey with you.

You guys look so happy and you were glowing before but you are definitely beaming a million rays these days

If you try hard enough good always comes back to you. I have made a million attempts to log on to this board. Yesterday I got the 4G Digi hookup, at home and started reading the trip reports, so many good ones up, Weddings, Anniversaries, births, reading yours Danna made me laugh, and cry happy tears, and believe me I was determined to add my well wishes to you and Ashley and the two little ones.

I was remembering meeting you and he for the first time last year, I was remembering how absolutely cute the two of you were,the flirty shyness of the two of you, the giggles every time you looked at each other, the sweetness in the act of just sitting together talking to TSmall and I, and I was remembering hoping and sending a prayer that whatever choices you made they would be God sanctioned and therefore the right ones.

Over the years on this board I have always found you to be a sweet, wonderful, decent and kind person, you deserve all the happiness you wish for and as much as you can stand. May God walk with you and your family and allow you all to be united soon.

I will always remember the beauty of the Love that I witnessed that day and this day.
