Seveen you better stick with plates of Ackee and Saltfish, hibiscus flowers, mountains, empty roads, empty chairs on the beach, chickens etc,,,, picture people and you will get caught up in "did you get this person's permission" trap. Picture yourself too much , and you will get upbraided for that too. So funny that this board would now realize you have no more trip reports being filed and still not look up the word bullied in websters. I can't count how many people put up excellent reports and ended up taking them and all of their pictures down out of frustration.... my last of which came down when someone on here sought to tell me how I should walk, act and breathe on MY vacation, which by the way, I could afford to pay for MYSELF without soliciting donations from all of the free world.
The atmosphere on here go so predictable....rope em een, tell you love it, clamor for more, then slit their throats. You could see it coming and pin point exactly when the ax was going to fall, You could FEEL the PM's flying in the background and the gangs ganging up. It was SPORT on here , and it was allowed to happen over and over again.

M, you are flogging a dead horse. Yes, some people in times past took issue with some of the trip reports and on some occasions, quite rightly so. I have read reports on other sites (passing over some of the more salacious stuff) that would not be suitable for this board because of the "culture" of this particular site. Nothing is wrong with that; different strokes for different folks and different sites cater to different things.
I love a good trip report. Spare me the ackee and saltfish, chickens, the man/woman hunting exploits, and whatever else. I love the adventure, the story telling, the experiences, the reflections, and of course, pictures. I don't know of any reasonable person who would object to those kind of reports. Anyone who wants to, can easily find other "hard-core" style reports elsewhere.aka ChurchDude. I want that moniker back! Until then....

Seriously ????? Pictures???? I have one word for you ... Nina, and "reasonable" person does not describe past behavior. Be in denial as to why you now hear crickets chirping in here if you like. THe best you can do , if you are now the moderator of this forum is see that that behavior is not repeated IF and WHEN someone comes in here with a report. I've read a couple of trip reports on Negril. com that are EXCELLENT, I mean publishable even, but there are places in them that I could see the John Crow swooping down if the "old" ways on here were allowed to continue. Tropicana. Now that I have caught up on my reading I want to say thank you for your kind comments. Also thank you to others who had nice things to say as well. This board did cost me dearly. IT cost me friendships and it gave me friendships as well. It indirectly led to an early retirement, but in the long run, that also led to better things for me, because GOD DON'T LIKE UGLY. THe miserable person whom I strongly feel did this still is the same miserable person.
Well as we see this board will soon have a report from Seveen and I am sure everyone will play nice on that one, and maybe the forum can make a come back .Comment

Tirade??? Sheesh! I don't know where you got that from, Seveen. Just saying that people can and should post their trips reports in keeping with what this site is about. In times past some of them were risque and it did create some tension as some people saw exploitation, etc. and others thrived on the drama. Glad you finally saw it there were several of us who felt that the way you were treated drove you away from the board. Others disagreed. There was no excuse for what was done to you and I am sorry it lead to your early retirement. People have got to get a grip.
