Holt is coming on next so the stage is being reset while the masses drink, smoke, and do things to each other that should be done behind closed doors. The winds have picked up a lot. Feels like a storm is coming. The tarp fence is not holding up against the element. Sections have broken away, loosed from the wooden stakes driven in the sand. A few men rush in vane to secure the plastic barrier but the wind’s power won this night. I’m glad it’s down. The breeze rushing from the ocean was soooo welcomed cuz it was hot out there.

Stage workers scramble to ready the equipment for Mr. Holt.

With the tarp blown down, you can see the ocean and the strong waves beating the shore. I want to go out there and stand so bad, but the selector is turning the rhytyms and he’s doing it RIGHT!!!! I couldn’t sit still any longer…the music was taking that drink out of my hand and lifting me up saying “shake it like a salt shaker, Vi!”

I get up then suddenly…

Yep, I will be in Negril the last week in August...I am doing the A/I this time around.

I will also, be there in July during Sumfest with my sons.
