Dude about that picture. You know you never really know what you've got on thses cameras until you get home and download. I was surprised to see that it looked like the young lady was sitting in the glass. Pretty neat huh??

Nice Mini report.

I was in Mineapolis for a week...in February. Of course that trip was job related. Didn't get to do much more than shop and eat. Yes the people were very friendly and chatty.

The one thing that really struck me was going to the gas station and seeing people pay for gas with checks. This was in 2000. I couldn't believe it.

Nice to see some sights, all I saw was snow covered streets.

The whole time I was there I was thinking.....who do I know with kids....this place is a kid's paradise, there were even eating places geared just for them. I passed one and there was this giant fake yellow anaconda wrapped around a tree branch, but it moves, so to me that is just like the real thing, and I went into immediate sweats....I HATE SNAKES.

Anyway, before he is too big and can still get into stuff like this I say take him.

Postlude.....

Upon immediate return to Memphis....it began....the reality that we were NOT in Minnesota anymore. I sent GF a link to this report, and I hope she reads it, because she can back me up that on the van ride from the airport we were with this loud talking, incoherant, cussing, babbling IDIOT.(typical young MEmphis style.)...she looked at me, I looked at her, and right then and there we knew we had stepped back into the other side.

She and I were thinking the same thing. We are not in Minnesota anymore.

Then she had a problem with her purchase from the trip and had to go to Macy's. The sales lady was rude, but the manager was very nice to her about the issue. But having interacted with the sales lady first, she noted to me that the difference in ALL the customer service we received there and here, was evident.

One poster here said it is almost like stepping into another world when you go there, and I sooooooooooo agree. It took me a little while to adjust...to people just starting up pleasant conversations with you , and they didn't &quot;want&quot; anything from you....and I have to say it, although I wanted to put this delicately....I did not feel any of the racial strife and issues that I feel here in the south on a daily basis. It truly was an entirely different breath of fresh air, and I am going back for more before summer's end.
