So happy you enjoyed Minneapolis. I love living and working here.

It is a wonderful city – and our city parks are truly beautiful as well.

There’s one right downtown that is lovely for walking – just a few blocks from where you took those photos!

If you want to stop and SMELL a city, I highly recommend Sioux City, Iowa!
Only been there once, and ever since in the schedule bidding system there was a
permanent bid levereged at 100 point to avoid such delikes.

There are 3 distinct smells that you drive through on the way from the airport to downtown.
Our very knowledgable driver took pleasure in quizzing us on it's origins only to tell
us the source after we gave up trying due to brain damage.

First was a relatively mild aroma of a sewage treatment plant. As we'd find out later,
it was the most pleasant of the three, and this is where we re-commenced breathing the next morning.

Then as we crossed over the railroad with cars loaded with a chemical whose name now escapes, a pungent smell lick us that was the most
disguisting malordour me ever did smell... until we got to the hotel.

Permeating the hotel room with a light dose, that became leathal when outside was the everpresent
gas that evidently is a by-product of producing TOFU! I don't know what it the world the
production of tofu involves, but I have never before or since smelled anything as repulsive!

With a massive headache, the crew departed the next morning enjoying the airport sewage dump in the air.
Everytime I smell sewage anywhere and it smells bad to me, I'm reminded of Sioux City and then
the smell becomes bareable.

Each airport in the world with commercial air service has a 3 letter IATA airport code.
Once you see the 3 letter code for Sioux Getaway Airport, it will make sense. http://www.flysiouxgateway.com/guide.htm

Too Right ... BeBe was one block on the North side of Marilyn's lunch place, and I was one block away on the South Side ~

When you called to say you were at Zelo ... I had just returned from my lunch - a peanut butter sandwich ... my mouth so watered for their tomato basil house soup ~ it is to die for!!!

close ~ but no cigar ....

When you said you had to go back to the hotel for a rest ... I wanted to tell you we have some resting rooms here - you could have taken your siesta till I got off work ... Palomino makes a slammin Scratch Margarita -

next time ... As BeBe said - sweet lakes and parks right here in town - you would enjoy walking them ~ great people watching ....

well - I suppose some still write checks for this n that ... I expect my dad does ... quite certain my sister and her family still do (small farming town) -

me - as Loops knows - I do not even have any checks ~ Back when I did still have and carry checks - they used to take them from me at the gas stations up north &amp; and when visiting my Grandie out in So.Dak ...

We write checks for EVERYTHING up here! The only two places that no longer take them that I can think of are a couple of fast food places. Hopefully it will stay that way too, cause otherwise I could never keep track of what I'm doing/did.
