I just knew there was a cd somewhere around here that is Joes family and I found it yesterday. My brother is sending me some of my older images now also Thanks QK for inspiring me to get these together and loaded
you guys that know me have known me to speak of my husbands mother and dad for years. We were pretty close and they were great fun. They are both gone now
but not forgotten.






He was a Pilot during WWII also taught Insturment training which kept him stateside and probable saved his life


She was one of the original &quot;Rosie the riveters&quot;
during the war effort.

people used to be classy back den eenh? notice how dem dress and dat is just everyday dressing. i have one on my home computer i'll share later if i remember.

When you were out in public you must be presentable at all times. Not that I am so old but I remember having 3 sets of clothes...you had your in the house clothes....your walk about the street clothes....and your Sunday best clothes. That is how my parents stayed cause that is how their generation flexed.

Those days are gone now.

here ya go Nunya, this was from his enlistment certificate when he signed up as a Merchant Seaman. It was that OR reform school. He went in the Army after that.

Roots, Joe's parents were a lovely couple and somebody was an outstanding photographer. great pics! Joe fayva's im daddy too! Must be where he gets those good looks.

I am really loving this thread. I think of my dad going out to sea at 16. The kid had some serious balls! He wasn't EVER afraid of ANYTHING.

My mom always had hats. Ladies who went out wore hats.

I gotta dig up more pics.
