...from walmart we went to breakfast...LB happened to pull into a little place....not even knowing that it was my most favorite mex restaurant in the whole wide world....it hasn't changed in over 15 yrs.... AAAhhhhh! huevos rancheros and sopapias to die for, with honey!

...One hour later, fat and happy, I phoned aunt D...and she met us at an anarchist coffee shop on the corner of the main intersection in town. A tour of 2 galleries ensued (she worked in one, and had stuff hung in both). I then left the ladies to their own devices, and headed back to the Stuart House for some quiet time...toward evening I found a weather report on one of the 3 fuzzy channels available on the tube...and as I suspected....the storm had only given us a brief reprieve, catching IT'S breath in preparation for the next onslaught!.... the race to Albuquerkey would begin again, tomorrow, sometime in the morning of our last day. Our flight out was at 5:30pm...we were 3 hrs away...the chances were good....except that...

I guess the evening ended with more green chile stew and quesedillas at aunt D's...LB was oblivious to anything I happened to mention about the weather and our flight out...seems she and my good aunt had talked to some other ladies and there was an opening for a birthing nurse at the local hospital, and they also did home birthing, which was what LB has been wanting to do since graduation, and there was an earthship not far away for rent for $600, and....and... and...and...and... UH, LADIES!!!DOES ANYONE CARE THAT I< TDUDE HERE< HAVE TO GET HOME TO OPEN THE LATEST BATCH OF BILLS AND MAKE SURE THEY GET PAID ISANYBODYLISTENINgHERE? AAAAAArrrrgg! ok...I'll get on with the tale....flash foreward, next morning:...

...slept ok...got the "Taos Cow" blend perkin, and out the side door I go for the first smoke of the morn, on the side veranda here...



...things looked somewhat hopeful weatherwise, but still slightly unsettled. LB was still sleeping.

...so I'm thinkin, from the looks of things we need to get outa Dodge here, ASAP. I go over a mental checklist in my head of all the things that are going to eat up time....say goodbyes to our host Sandy and husband...go over to aunt D's for goodbyes...LB has to do the "girl thing whatever" before we do anything...uh, then we'll have to pick up food along the way,...and then I'm sure I'm forgetting something,...oh yea, we have to pack up our stuff!

...so, I packed up some stuff, carried it out to car along with my camera, and then proceeded to take pictures for a while...ya know...
