I don't know what these additional 'threads'are.
I walked off into the mountains with a bowie knife and some and wire and a blanket. Stayed out there a month.
It is going to be real hard to convince me that a man with nothing can't come back.

</div></div> You have to understand the culture more to really get it. Aclling a Jamaican a back woods boy is more like ribbing ,but certailly not an insult from a Jamaican man. In Jamaica the most remote woods is only a few miles from dome city.

There IS Jamaican peanut butter...maybe even potato chips...at least banana chips and they ARE cheaper....I'm talking about food items that are NOT produced in Jamaica, like most cheeses, yogurt, sour cream, butter, nuts, most crackers, canned tomatoes (not produced there because Jamaicans don't use in cooking), good chocolate, wines, pasta sauce, etc. </div></div>

Interesting how your "quashie" statement has dissappeared before I had a chance to fully search out a meaning....is alrite, mi fin de answer from a bredrin, who really didn't understand until I explained what context you had used it in....I had somewhat of an idea anyway. Wondering if you used that term because you figured I would have no idea what it meant or another reason? I was really refering more to the use of dairy products and canned tomatoes that are not used in traditional Jamaican cooking, so not much of a demand for them to be produced a Yaad.

I made that post to try to give pug my experience here first-hand, rather than him trying to get all his info. from Ja.newspapers & radio stations. Nothing derogatory was meant by my statement, it was just my observation. I'm sure most of the items I mentioned can be found in Mobay, Kgn. & Ochie and even some in the local Chinese grocery in Duncans, but carry a high price because of duty & tax.

I am sorry I did not answer sooner, I had other more pressing matters.
Going off in the mountains is sort of a holy thing. If you oppose nature you won't make it. One nit wit sat in his tent. Lost. Wrote down in his diary and ate the misquotes that came to drink him. They found him dead in his tent near Lincoln Gap last year.
If you've money and gasoline nature doesn't mean a thing. It is more of an indian thing.
I know how to say it.
the first plant you find to eat. You don't eat it. You bring it water, you pee on the ground around it, maybe cut back some brush that shades the plant from the light.
If you do this, then suddenly you see this plant everywhere.

My wife is Chinese. I italian. If I have to let the lawn go to seed we are making flour for pasta.
Bannana chips my wife loves banna chips.
Are you a gardner?
We pride ourselves on gardens in Vermont, probably because it is so hard to do in such a harsh place.
One year I bought tomatoes and tied them to my plants with fishing string, months before harvest time. Just so I could shin off my neighbor.

I lied to you. Told you I would get that IMF movie by this weekend. It was out. Al Gore made a movie, same as the live in debt movie, it is on a waiting list.
Some days I can make it across town and some days I can't.
I did look up the reviews and I'll tell you something right off the bat.
All the nations of the world are debator nations. We are all paying 1/3 of all our money for interest on the debt.
When the IMF meets in a country the army of that country is called out to protect them.
I guess I'll just have to get to it, no excuse for not getting it done already.

I know I need a trn# can I get one once I am there, planning to stay and reside there, what is best for me and mums to do? as well coming with my adorable Shih Tzu is that going to be a problem with my doggy coming along?
