I cant imagine calling you by your middle name it would feel weird but like you I thought my middle name was my first name and even though I was going to school with the first name since everybody outside of school used my middle name I thought for official purpose they use middle names ... but then when I learnt to read and saw my birth cert they explained it all... but it didnt stop their the Auntie who named me always spelt my middle name with an so that was how I spelt it until I was sixteen and for the first time was filling out registration forms at community college (mother did everything for me before that) and realised that I was spelling my own name wrong on official papers that I stopped it.

Mi si seh a noh mi wan have di prablem. At least unu alternative name is IN unu name. Wendy is not even mi middle name. It noh deh nowhere pan mi certificate.


Back in di day when mi new to dis country and a work fi a drug store, there was this chick name Wendy who worked there as well. So mi Auntie tell mi cousin fi call di store and tell &quot;Wendy&quot; fi pick up some foil an some tings on mi way home. Soh im call di store and ask fi &quot;Wendy&quot;. Dem tell im seh Wendy did not come to work today.

Him relay di message and mi Auntie tell im fi call back cause I did leave the house fi goh work. Im call back an a ask fi &quot;Wendy&quot; again. Unu know dem buff im an tell again seh Wendy nat in. Poor mi noh know seh all a dis a gwaan.

So inna di night when mi come home..is my Auntie dat a lay wait mi an a ask wey mi a come fram. I was like WORK!!! Shi seh how dem call di store two time an dem seh mi neva come in and shi went off pan a tirade seh mi a come a farrin a gi har trubble arredi \o/

Afta mi goh inna mi room an sulk an cuss Christian badwod unda mi breat di light bulb came on. So mi goh ask mi cousin who im ask fah. Im seh &quot;Wendy&quot;. Dat is one of Maaaaaaannnnny mounts of mix up mi have fram birt til now. When mi goh Canada (where Dad lives) mi can nobadda use mi real name. Dat is a lost cause
