Xavier do you have anything on the part about some traditional Jamaican folk songs being PC'd to remove the slackness.

There was mention of the the tapes being were very expensive. I personally believe they saw no real future value in back them.

I have heard of Jamaican folk songs being changed as some of the original songs were "slack" or "offensive". A good resource on the songs, origins and original words is Olive Lewin (she passed earlier this year). She was commissioned by the gov't to travel the island and gather the songs etc. I believe she has a book about it.
