Gunmen roaming corridors asking for British and Americans? Hmmm. Correct me if I'm wrong but out of the 190 or so killed only one was British - originally from Cyprus.

The Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, has insisted that the terrorists were based outside the country, naming Pakistan (via the Lashkar-e-Taiba) and Al Qaeda - the usual suspects.

Why should it be such a surprise if the perpetrators are Indian Muslims? Its hardly a secret that there has been much anger within the poorest sections of the Muslim community against the systematic discrimination and acts of violence carried out against them - the 2002 anti-Muslim pogrom in Gujarat for example.

India has to deny that the terrorists could be homegrown. To admit this would imply that the country needs to look at its problems - why send probes to the Moon when so many Indians are living on the street?

I think the attacks are a purely domestic affair, blown out of all proportion by the media, to remind us that there is supposed to be a war on terror. I believe Indian Muslims are responsible and NOTHING to do with Pakistan, Al Qaeda, Somalian pirates (revenge for the Indian navy blowing up their boat) British Muslims, CIA, MI6 or Mossad.

Never the solution, only manipulation of mionds.
Somewhat luke how we blame haiti for hnyn runnionh in Jamaica, While everybody know that more guns come from the US than can ever be supplied by Haiti.
That is how we maintain the old practice of FUED-alism. The stratehy of dividing neighbors and take advantage of their animosity while we benefit from it,
The most efficient and probably only permanent way of by controlling people is by fuedalism otherwise kniwn as devide and counquor.

Mi know the whole Kashmir thing... But a mean what about Indian/Paki relations?
Especially those livin here in NA/Canada.
Mi work wid dem nuff nuff, and mi dont see nuh rivalry between the two.

Why it is necessary for each of the assailants of say the World Trade Center, the Indian assault or the Oklahoma Federal Building to visit it actual site during the planning stage. These are public spaces there are brochures, architectural plans, historical accounts, local contacts, etc.

If this was the case each of us would have to get a visa to Space before we could even begin discuss the layout of the galaxy.

It goes back to East Pakistan <span style="font-style: italic">(now Bangladesh)</span> .. independence .. the Kashmir debacle .. and the two wars they <span style="font-style: italic">(India &amp; Pakistan)</span> fought over territory ....

I listened to an Indian commentator on CNN, and she said that at the &quot;partition&quot; of India, (when Great Britain bailed out) the Pakistanis were given the states in the North and East which were predominently Muslim. The problem arose when Kashmir was given to India even though it was predominently Muslim, but the state Maharaja was Hindu. They have been fighting over it ever since. Then you get the minority of Muslims in India who didn't want to uproot themselves after generations in India.

Yeas ago as we were discussing wars and conflicts in the International Forum I pointed out that the roots of most modern conflicts could be legitimately traced directly to British Empire building, the fall of the British Empire and the so-called Independence movements that it spawned.

The Israeli-Palestine conflict
The Iraq War
The Afghanistan War
The Indian-Pakistan conflict and number of other conflicts around the world.

Of course the USA never one to take lessons from history have followed in the footsteps of the British and have caused more coal to be heaped onto the glowing embers of the fires started by the British Imperial aspirations.

just like Iraqis and Iranians. Mi deal wid alot of all four nationalities daily (more dan any other nationalities) and mi have never glimpses di slightest indifference.
Which only meck iya ask the question as to whats the score wid dem.. are they (pakis and indians) mortal enemies or is it just a media hype?

Pakistan is the most prolific exporter of terrorism in the world. It's a country where the right hand never knows what the left hand is doing and nuclear warheads are transported via donkey carts.

It is mentioned that the terrorists spoke &quot;Hindi.&quot; Urdu, the official language of Pakistan, is virtually identical. The boat used to transport them to the Mumbai harbor also had a transmitter dialed on a frequency with a source traceable to Karachi.

I can understand that Indian authorities might deliberately blame Pakistan without evidence but the evidence exists.

The partition was bound to happen anyway be it 1947 or much latter. Pakistan was not a good steward of its independence from India as Bangladesh followed suit in 1971 ending its status as the Eastern Wing of Pakistan due to economic and political neglect from what now remains of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

yes pakistan is disputing that kashmir was given to India, they are challenging that the existing documents which gave kashmir to india are false. india supposedly has produced copies of the original but there is still a dispute.

israel and palestine all over again.

not to mention that kashmir is supposedly administered by 3 countries, india, pakistan and china. china and dem nuff self haffi be in the mix

at the root is kashmir, as well as treatment of muslims in india. that's it.

They rule by creating division in the population that is used to distract and dismember the revolutionariirs within th ecountry. thus is duplocated in every country thay ruled. Buut when India demanded and eventually became independent. The Brits further stoked animisoty between them. It was so bad that There were rumers that the non muslem majoroty would massacar th emuslems after independence. this was further by the Br8ts not even deviding the countries before independence. They did not even know where the borders would be.
In addition many muslems and Hindus,were massacared on the9r attempt to migrate from areas they would become foreig countries to them once the independence was fuiinalized. The history of this act of granting them independence was so muddled that there were running riots between the sects for weeks prior to during and after independence. The seed was planted nurtured and promited since then. The difference is that in Say Trinidad and Guyana,where both Moslem and hindu indoans (That is what they were all (Indians) they hav eno such anamisity. It only happens wher it is in th eintrest of the colonial masters. In th9se countries they divisions are created beyween the races,except for Jamaica,where they use politiccal parties, since they can't find any other method that is as strong.

India treated the muslim like crap, backed by the Brits, hence the animosity between the (muslim) Pakistanis and the (westernized/christiin/hindu ) Indians??
