Yes, I realize she is going through a personal tragedy, but I noticed something else last night and just want to hear what the minds of Ja.com think about some of these things.
I was bumming through a magazine and noticed that she is engaged to some dude (<span style="font-weight: bold">Otunga</span>) who was on some reality TV show (forgive me as I rarely watch reality shows of ANY kind). Then it struck me. Didn't I hear her singing the praises of her pre-stardom boyfriend (<span style="font-weight: bold">James Peyton</span> a "maintenance engineer"
some time back when she won her academy award for best supporting actress? If I recall, there was some talk about people wondering how long it was going to take before she kicked him to the curb.
Now her story is a little different. We saw her go from a nobody from a rough neighborhood in Chicago to superstar overnight. She came on the scene with an "old childhood sweetheart" attached as opposed to becoming a big star and then dating/marrying some other well known celebrity. Also, when you think about it, especially in the world of sports (for comparison), how many big name figures actually stay with their "high school sweethearts" once they reach high society and should we expect them to?
I just found it interesting that once she started settling into a new status her ex who she was gushing about at her ascension to stardom was nowhere to be found at her side or in her life. In fact, I read she actually dumped him (don't know the reason) for New York [football] Jets player, <span style="font-weight: bold">Kerry Rhodes</span>, went back to her first boyfriend and then on to this new guy who i understand she is engaged to.
Would you say these kinds of moves should be expected/inevitable or are even necessary in cases like this? Is she proof that once you have money you put up with less and more inclined to bolt at the first sign of stress?
What are your thoughts? If you were in her position, what would you have done by now?
