i think the color white in religious traditions signifies something like purity due to the fact that white is the absence of all colors- hence unstained.

notice that they christen babies in white...the white wedding dress fore virgin,etc, etc.

i don't get too deep into that aspect of things...different colors mean different things to different cultures

in some cultures, white signifies death, i think. white is also a funeral colour in jamaica.

and the ancient egyptians used the color black to depict divinity;

so i don't get too caught up in color symbolism as far as clothing;

only the red gold &amp; green and the red black &amp; green and the black green &amp; gold

white is also the tribe colour for Joseph/February, no?

Not quite,people in Jamaica tend to wear whatever colour they have to a funeral,white,black,polka dot,it doesnt matter,...bear in mind some of them dont even know the decease,they just turn up for the food and drink,...or to look a woman/man.
