I found the latest location of the Fish Shak. It's now on Dundas West just west of Bathurst, but it hasn't been open when I've visited. Maybe just on weekends?

Yes that's my girl. She is always pleasant and has such a great attitude. It's nice to see because sometimes you go into these West Indian restaurants and the attitude you get is ridiculous

that was my regular route home in the fall and it's not surprising it's closed because ain't nobody going in there. the proprietor would just stand in the doorway looking forelorn my heart went out to him, just not enough to be the one customer in the place.

I went back to Royal Caribbean yesterday, just to try the jerk chicken because of the praise the place received here and because of how good the snapper was, and yes they do make a nice jerk chicken, but it is the baked style jerk chicken, not the grilled, with the meat falling off the bone, good spice, and ample portions, and again, very nice people doing the serving.
The Fish Shak mon is a likeable sort, and he knows his food. I don't know why he can't get that Fish Shak up and running anywhere - he's been in a half dozen different locations and it never seems to take off.

I will be going there later tonight with my hubby. The staff are very nice and I like the atmosphere. My mouth is watering as I type this. I&quot;m glad that you went a second time!!!!

I agree with you! Now I'm addicted - I just went and picked up some goat curry on this Friday night, and there was a nice vibe, lots of people there, sipping rum creams and talking.

Pretty good, except when I tried their curried goat, it looked like stewed goat with browning instead of curry The goat head soup was awesome though

IMO, the best food can be had at <span style="font-weight: bold">Jamaica House</span>, west of Weston &amp; Finch.

You would have to call them and find out, but isn't it said that Jamaican men - generally speaking - don't eat stew peas unless they know who cooked it?
