Tropi, I know that there is a simple bare bones list of all the restaurants in the GTA, but my thread is an attempt to expand on and fill that out with some more information about the atmosphere and the quality of the food at each place, and what the restaurant specializes in or does well.

not all Jamaican restaurants do Jamaican food well .. or any food for that matter.

well Ketchup does have it's place as a first class sauce BUT certain tings it noh fi goh inna an one a dem is OXTAIL an di nedda wan is CURRYGOAT

well I am nat one to gossip but I tink dat restrant is a front for sumting else an is only foolfool an craven why mi did end up a buy food fram dem.

Pretty good, except when I tried their curried goat, it looked like stewed goat with browning instead of curry The goat head soup was awesome though

IMO, the best food can be had at <span style="font-weight: bold">Jamaica House</span>, west of Weston &amp; Finch.

Those guys are simply awesome, and the food sizes are larger than most places!

<span style="font-weight: bold">Jamaica House Kitchen in Brampton</span> is better than the Finch location. Collin is running the Brampton location and they have the best of everything. I have friends who will drive to the Brampton location from Mississauga just for the curry goat.

It's a tiny hole in the wall in the side of a building, just a few feet south of Bloor on Huntley Street. He's a nice guy and he makes a very good jerk chicken. Definitely worth trying.

Update. The Fishshak on Dundas W. closed down. JA Catering on Bloor at Dufferin closed down.
