yeah. i can relate. for me it was biology class and them talking about how chimp body shape and movements and some smartass remarking that it's funny that's exactly how (name of black guy) moves. and of the initial chuckles then the silence and looks when people realized i was in the room.

If your talking about Jane Goodall?
She spent years studying gorillas in their own habitat and I seriously doubt that happened. Geez......another tabloid and their sensationalism to sell papers

Knowing a little something about her and her story....
That gorilla Digit was killed by poachers and his hands used as ashtrays.
I don't think being fond of an animal means anything but being FOND of an animal.

well, Spy <span style="font-style: italic">was </span>a satirical magazine, although its items usually had some fact buried in them somewhere. i recall the article mentioning that the &quot;intimacy&quot; was one aspect of the relationship with gorillas that Sigourney Weaver did not portray in the movie about Fossey. and apparently such &quot;intimacy&quot; was the talk of the people and community near which Fossey worked. Of course, it could all be rumour spread by folks upset with her campaign against gorilla poaching.

Of course.....she was killed by those same people. In a Natgeo special I remember her touching the gorilla and him touching her but NOT in a sexual way.
