Negrito ultimately is ultimately derived from the Latin word "niger" meaning black. It has been hispanicized in spelling with the ending "ito" imparting the dimunitive form of the word. The African nation of Niger is also derived from the same Latin root although it is traced through the French language.

ok so same root as the words 'negro' and '[censored]'; just with a 'little' added to it...so they are little blacks

so they are black according to your definition....just not african;
unless you go back far enough---
these so-called 'negritos' (eedyat white man term) are found all over asia &amp; are indeed the most ancient peoples of asia...perhaps the earliest trace of man's migration out of africa?

well you see...you can get the recessive gene from the dominant, but you can't get the dominant from the recessive...
in other words two normal black-skinned people can have a white-skinned child (albino) but two normal white skinned people can't have a black-skinned child;
so i think your hypothesis that they could be descended from asians is incorrect...especially since they are proven to be more ancient than the japanese or any other asian race in proximity to which they are found...

Since you likely haven't had a course in evolutionary biology, it would be pointless to describe the process of adaption and genetic drift in which an isolated group of people may adapt over generations to take on physical traits best suited for their environment. Natural selection at work.
