if i understand bippy correctly, the negrito girl's ancestors may have been chinese looking but over the eons as they moved to hotter climes (drifted, so to speak) their genes may have started to select for traits to deal with such climes - e.g., darker skin, curlier hair. hence their current appearance but genetic makeup linking closer back to an asian formula.

that leads to a next question which is if a group drifts towards specific traits to help deal with climate changes, arent then those genetic shifts towards what is defined as &quot;african&quot; in the first place?

The MRC1 (I think that is the correct gene) is what creates darker skin color. And if that is distinctive in Africans then those that need that gene to tolerate hotter climates, arent they then by genetic definition African? How is there genetic makeup closer to another group if deviations needed to occur?

so then their ancestors left asia, went to africa, got black, and then returned to asia???

Yes, the mongol empire was vast at one point and included parts of Africa.

However, it wasnt just that Khan was about rape and pillage - Genghis was known for letting conquered cultures be and thus much of what is Mongolian culture is due to how much they absorbed from those around them. Unlike the Romans, the Mongolians didnt annihalate other cultures but took what they could in terms, of engineering, social structure, arts, mathematics, etc. Strategic move on his part because you cant control an empire that vast by crushing the living will out of the people. So he allowed for free travel of the subjected ppls within the empire at the time. So, lots of African influence in that part of the world.
