Not true, someone asked for the list yesterday and man did not appear anywhere on it.

Popular reggae singer Luciano, whose given name is Jepther McClymont could be charged later Monday with harbouring a fugitive.

The artiste spent the weekend in custody after giving a voluntary statement to the Half-Way-Tree Police in St. Andrew on Friday.

On Monday morning when he appeared in court, his attorney Delano Franklyn asked the court to order the police to release his client or to charge him.

Magistrate Glen Brown ordered that Mr. McClymont be charged by Tuesday or released.

The police then told the Court Luciano will be charged later Monday.

The singer found himself in trouble with the law following a shooting at his Westminster Crescent studio last Wednesday when the police stormed the complex in search of a man they say was wanted.

The man was killed and three police officers injured during a reported shoot-out.

AFTER spending the weekend behind bars, Reggae singer Luciano was yesterday charged with harbouring a fugitive by detectives from the St Andrew Central Police Division.

&quot;He spent the weekend in jail and was charged a short while ago,&quot; head of the division, Superintendent Terrence Bent told the Observer last evening.

Luciano, real name Jepther McLymont, was arrested on Friday when he turned up at the Half-Way-Tree police station with his attorney Delano Franklyn. After a question and answer session, the artiste was thrown behind bars and was only charged after Franklyn filed a writ of habeus corpus before Resident Magistrate Glen Brown in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Brown ordered the cops to charge or release the artiste.

The singer will answer to the charge in court on April 9
