how bout dem nu fawt pon you much less fi speak (not daht mi mind..cah mi nu like none ah dem)....that is until them need something.

all year mi have this ooman on my "team".
she walk by me every striking time, all come inna wi office (when is mi one inna di 5 desk space) and nu speak.
di oddah day she need exam ahn have di nerves fi ask mi fi borrow mine.
mi seh to har, "Oh, you put on you 'need something spectacles'" She coulda dead how she tun red.

But as mi is nice mi fix har ahn sen har one PDF file of one old exam mi did have.
Well har sneakiness get ketch cah instead of har use di exam as mi send it to har (wid mi name inna di header), she try fi retype it and submit it as fi har.

mi buss out laugh, when mi DC come to wi office di oddah day seh she get messige fram di Dean. Apparently dem scan wi tings inna di school database. Di exam weh she submit come back with "Permission to Use" slip attach fi har to get mi to sign.

THEN when they need you for something or the other (to help solve a problem) your are all of a sudden their best friend. Next day they are back to ignoring you again.

I tell you, I'm so happy had spent much of my childhood being raised in Jamaica where manners and respect for others was drilled into us. I feel sorry for some of these people up here in Canada and elsewhere I imagine who just never were taught common courtesy.

How some of these people get promoted is beyond me. Some of them have high level positions but they don't have a clue how to be the least bit sociable.

All I can think of is that they must be doing the boss.

Me think most of these people live in them own a world. What is really bad is when we are forced to act like them because we just get so tried of them crap.

For 18 years I had a supervisor who acted as though she was spending her own money every time we put in a request. I teach a lab science and we have a lot of glassware, etc. We <span style="font-weight: bold">used</span> to have a dishwasher in order to keep our glassware clean and sparkly (kids do a lousy job cleaning), but eventually it broke down. The toad refused to replace it. Twelve years or more went by; some even took critical apparatus home to wash. (mad dem mad)

The toad finally retired. It took one suggestion from me at a department meeting and we got the whole breakroom redone, painted, new cabinets, and <span style="font-weight: bold">A NEW DISHWASHER!!!</span> Somehow the money materialized. I think he feels sorry for us, because the whole school has asked us if we are celebrating that the toad has retired.
