No - he wasn't bawling with a river of tears washing thru the front seat but, he completely, unconsciously, welled up and brought his hand up over his mouth, covering it in disbelief.

He started telling me how long its been since he’d seen a homeless person. Almost 2 years and he’d not seen one – he literally forgot what a homeless person looked like – it was like seeing an alien for him. He almost couldn’t grasp the concept. He said there are no, NONE, not one single homeless person on the streets of PB and it’s surroundings.

I was floored.

Can you imagine?

The wealth in Palm Beach is phenominal and no matter what they say, it ain’t hurtin’ THAT bad.

I would rather take where he was at.
Ask him if he wants to trade places.
The 99% of the homeless here and 99% of the ones I have came across living in the USA are either voluntarily messed up on drugs and/or crazy out of their skull.
Most will not hesitate to rob another homeless person or teef milk out of coffee,

The other day one or two in-concert stole a package that was left on my doorstep. Second time in the USA that a neighbour stole a package from me. Both were rare, irreplaceable stuff.
Now I am worried looking out the window daily for the last thing I am having shipped here to arrive, because unlike your brother’s rich boss I don't have the<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'"> mils </span>to spare.

If your brother wants to help the homeless, shop at Goodwill, Thrift shops or just donate time and money to shelters.
Crying is not going to help.

People still have money, but unless they have their money in traditional savings accounts, they are feeling it. It just doesn't hurt as much for them.

If DVF had money in the stock market, real estate, etc, she lost money last year....so she may be worth 100 million, instead of 150 million.


No she isn't hurting, but the poor economy is affecting her, and her buddies.

Yeah, the wealth in PB, and pretty much all of south florida is unreal.

I worked with a man that transferred to SOFLA from Cali. I forget the county, the one where lots of stars live. One day he was commenting on the wealth of SOFLA, I was surprised considering where he had moved from.

He said, yes there are peole there with money, but in SOFLA, there are so many more people that have a rediculous amount of wealth. He said, it wasn't even close.

DVF is not the only one wid to burn

BOSTON – A real estate agent says a resident of Boston's upscale Back Bay section plunked down $300,000 to own what is believed to be the priciest parking space in the city's history.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agent Debra Sordillo told The Boston Globe that several residents of a building on Commonwealth Ave. bid for the coveted space, driving up what had been the original asking price of $250,000.

Sordillo said prime parking spaces are very difficult to come by in the neighborhood near the Public Garden.

The winning bidder was not identified. The Globe reported that the seller of the parking the space is also trying to sell a two-bedroom suite in the building for $2.5 million.

Nothing to really tell him you know Gen ... he and most people I think, already know how cities all over the world shuffle and hide their homeless.

Like I said, he’d been on a project in Palm Beach for over a year now – he’d barely set foot outside of it before it was done. I think it shocked him how easily and how far removed he’d started to become from ‘real life’. And that’s how it is for so many down there – and other places where people feel they’re above others and entitled.

Remember when the first George Bush was on that photo op and didn’t know how to buy a gallon of milk or how much it costs ... I could be wrong - I seem to remember he didn't know how to slide it across the scanner on the belt.

Very easy to forget what it looks like. Down here everything is superficial and must look pleasing to the eye.

If a building starts looking too old, is nutten fi tear it down and build a new one. Is rare dat anything gets refurbished.
