Until we are prepared to enunciate, admit and discuss these issues I have to reject outright that the Atlantic Slave Trade, the Colonial period and a few so-called rich Jamaicans have managed to singly-handedly shape the way our society treat each other and responds to the State Security Forces.

...unfortunately the discussions on Jamaican politics, Jamaica violence and the Jamaican economy have remarkably flowed in similar lines for the last 30 years. The winners are generally the one who deny the facts of our own culpability.
Turn on any talk show, read most of the columns in the Jamaican Media or check out the Jamaican Themed BBs in CyberSpace and it will confirm that this is so.

I can appreciate the knowledge that it might be a little disconcerting to purveyors of conventional wisdom not to have their opinions get a 100% vote but such is life, not everyone will subscribe to the group-think.
