Lol!....you guys are funny,...unnu cut de people dem some slack,...the title of knighthood are predominantly reserved for <span style="font-weight: bold">white people </span> it is only a very tiny few people of colour that receives the knighthood........regardless of what anyone may think of the practise the title of <span style="font-weight: bold">sir</span> whatever carries much prestige.

I am almost certain that not one female on this board would object to being married to a knight,....the wife of a knight is automatically titled a <span style="font-weight: bold">lady</span>.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I am a big lover of traditions (that do no harm). In this case I think your sensibilities are tweeked to see a Black man &quot;humble&quot; himself before a white queen, but many others of all colors have done so. It is a tradition, part of the culture of the world, and therefore I consider it interesting, graceful. Knighthood is a coveted designation for many.

Personally I think we should become and Republic and get this over and done with.
My problem is with the choice of Governor General, if we are going to have one and pay him/her big bucks why not have someone useful?
Why is the qualification only that he/she be a Minister of Some Religion or Some Geriatric Party Hacks who have never displayed any Intellectual Curiosity outside his/her narrow Party functions?

Why can't we have a 30-45 year old Engineer or Distinguished Scholar who have written books or traveled extensively around the world?
This guy seems not even to know the protocols involved when receiving the Knighthood.
