<span style="font-weight: bold">IT'S ABOUT <span style="color: #006600">WRITING</span> <span style="color: #006600">PATWA</span> <span style="text-decoration: underline">NOT</span> SPEAKING PATWA</span>

I'm just denouncing this information to the group so that people in the group can know about the advancements in Jamaican Creole.

The writing system is something that is basically finished, it just needs a couple tweaks. And, to be honest, for most people, the phonetic system is the easiest way to read a language. So for those of you who find the phonetic writing of Jamaican Creole difficult to read, there isn't a much easier way to make a language than phonetically.

Furthermore, spoken English DOES NOT reflect the way it is written, AT ALL! Look at these two words: <span style="font-weight: bold">Through</span> and <span style="font-weight: bold">Tough</span> (in one the 'gh' is an 'f' sound, and in the other the 'gh' is almost silent). SO THE PHONETIC WAY THAT JAMAICAN CREOLE IS WRITTEN <span style="font-weight: bold">MAKES IT EASIER</span>!

This is what the Jamaican Language Unit, and the UWI Linguistics department are doing, and if you go here: Jamaican Language Unit you will all see that they are doing it to UNITE rather than SEPARATE.
