I received multiply invitee, but I have declined to join because almost every one at my last job is a member and I don't want some one them applying where I am at. I have never know any one to find job there. I am sure it's good place to find old coworkers and friends. The way I see it is if I had lost contact with them they weren't that important to me. I've always kept up with coworkers I have liked.

I'm curious. How many people do you know who are on LinkedIn <span style="font-weight: bold">and</span> looked for job contacts on it <span style="font-weight: bold">and</span> used it properly, foolya?

I suppose I should also ask if they were looking for professional types of jobs, too? That might matter, too.

I'm only asking because I personally know of hundreds of people who found jobs... or better jobs... via LinkedIn, just because it gave them access to the decision-makers they otherwise had no way to contact personally. &lt;----- And that's just those whom I personally know about, after a few months.

I doubt that I know a higher percentage of successful users than you do, <span style="text-decoration: underline">if</span> all of the users start off on the same level playing field.

Like I said, it's a very powerful and complicated tool. And plenty of people misuse fancy tools, and when they don't get their expected results - they blame the tool... but the blame isn't with the tool; it's user error.

Of course, in this economy, it's also possible that there just aren't enough good professional jobs to go around in all areas... some get one and others maybe don't.
