It's possible for a US citizen to enter the US from Canada without a passport as well. It takes about 30min and it's a hassle.

One of my flight attendents lost her passport while in Canada and they eventually let her through.

Hush mi Chinese friend . Every weh mi fill out application dem reverse mi name seh mi fill out di application wrong. New job, bank account, vehicle reg etc. It soh frustrating sometime, mi almost change mi name fi match weh dem want . If mi neva love mi puppa so much mi woulda change ie lang time.

Take for example, not all entries into the US are checked for ID... drove from Ca to US last year, just &quot;held up passport&quot; and was waved through at the border..
