This behavior doesn't surprise me one bit. To me, it was just a matter of time before the rowdy town hall behavior found its way into the halls of the US Congress. A lot of republican congressmen and senators were out there during August fanning the flames of falsehood, ignorance and bigotry. This is what the republican party has become. When a large segment of that party believes Obama to be an illegitimate occupant of the WH (a 'foreigner' determined to march America down the path of socialism), then the disrespect shown during the address doesn't come as a surprise.

I think the bigger concern here, though, at least to me, is the build-up of hate accompanied by incendiary remarks from certain talk-show hosts, the rhetoric of extremists groups, open and provocative behaviors (for example showing up at town hall meeting where the president is speaking with with guns on display and signs saying &quot;water the tree of liberty&quot, regular statements about &quot;we're losing our country, and we should take it back.&quot; Funny enough, during the Bush years when there was constant assault on the Constitution, these fringe elements didn't see the need to &quot;take back&quot; the country. I fear that the conditions are being created similar to the one culminating in that fateful day in November 22, 1963.

The republican party has become what the southern democrat party used to be. Which is why 50 years ago blacks were members of the republican party. Roles have reversed so to speak.

There was a study done recently about educational level and party affiliation and the republican party is no longer the with the most college graduates.

You may take it for a joke, but whether that black man was recruited or not, he couldn't have taken a assault rifle within a mile of any meeting held by any other president.
And just in case you are not aware, there are many black racists too. racism affects every race.
It cause the blacks to hate blacks,the whites to hate blacks the Asians to hate blacks,the latinos to hate blacks. That is the secret of racism. many blacks develope self hate.
And it start with being ashamed of what is done by member s of your race.
It then is transformed into resigned condemnation after a while, and then real hate.

The honeymoon is over, Americans seem to have short memories of how things went during the Bush administration.

You ever notice that the prez is always busy doing this or that? A stark contrast to Bush who spent many a dday at his Texas ranch chopping wood.

Not his color, his policies and triple speak.
People need to get away from the fact he is of color and dig into his policies and those with whom he has surrounded hmself.
He is destroying free enterprise and the US Constitution.
