<span style="color: #990000"><span style="font-weight: bold">Many Jamaicans were born to lead in my opinion. They have a powerful spirit.
What is it about Jamaican people that rocks with me? Well, for one, I see a lot of my own culture in them. I'm southern born (USA) And their ways, and mannerisms are very familiar to me.
They are not people who bullsh*t with you. Ask a Jamaican a question, and you will get an answer.
I respect that.
Individually, Jamaicans are very cordial and they really are kind at heart. However, they won't hesitate to tell you about yourself when you slip or they think you're just completely out of line.
I respect that.
Whenever I meet people, I can size them up within 60 seconds. Like that saying goes, you never get a second chance to make a first impression...and I honestly feel that Jamaican people are that way. Their intuition is right on point and you can't fool them.
I respect that.
As a people, my perception of them is that they are strong and aren't people plagued by fear. Genuinely, Jamaicans have an "I can do it." mentality and obstacles to them are merely springboards to greater opportunity.
I respect that.
These qualities endear me to them.
One of my best friends was Jamaican and she had that same spirit as I mentioned. Both of us were high spirited, opinionated, but we respected one another.
Loyalty is a trait that I noticed in Jamaicans and in this world, that is worth more than gold.
What I love truly about Jamaican people is their energy, originaltiy, fearlessness, authenticity, and the heart they possess to achieve their goals.
I respect that.
So, for those who try to mask their bigotry towards Jamaicans, I just say: YOU'RE HATERS and are jealous of that Jamaican (((FIRE))).
And as the late actress Bette Davis once said: Birds only pick at the best fruit.
