when i had a late night &quot;problem&quot; the cop waited with me until the taxi came

but the taxi driver told me - that if i was white - they would have driven me to my hotel - case closed

not many places to walk to in malibu . . .

and the only folks that knew she was &quot;out there&quot; were the cops

I'm not overly fussed about what way the opinion goes on it, but though I'd give my take.

But as you asked...
I do think that she was RESPONSIBLE for paying the bill, and for upholding the law by not being in posession of an illegal substance.
But why did they compound her car? And if they had a reason for compounding it, then why did they not return it to her when they released her?
It sounds like they were negligent...they took her from a &quot;safe&quot; setting and left her in a relatively unsafe one. They can use the excuse of her being an &quot;adult&quot; but that sounds like bully-boy cop-out tactics to me.
The major factor for me is the car...god knows that many times travelling at night I would not have gone out unless I was driving, as psychologically (and actual in this instance) - you feel safer.
But of course that is only my opinion.

Just for the record; I do not think that racism is involved (unless there's more to the issue), but the police are accountable for her from the time that they took her into custody, and at that point in time she is a suspect, and not proven guilty.

Hope that’s not the case.

<span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">REALLY</span></span> hoping not.

It is reported tho, that 2 separate eyewitnesses saw her sleeping on a front porch.

If the po po killed her hopefully it’ll come to light – what with all the surveillance they have on the outside of the station and at the release pen.
