I probably will ramble a lot, and in the end this post won't make much sense, but does a crime like this make sense to anyone anyway?
A little girl argues with her brother and sister on a one mile walk home from school, and as children do, she stomps away from them upset, to walk alone. This decision alone (which any child should be able to safely make in our society), led to her death. Some sick predator out there, who gets his kicks off little children, killed her and dumped her body in the trash. I swear I would want to KILL someone.
I don't know how the police officers knew how to zero in on the trash bins, but they found her, under piles of garbage.Someone's precious baby, thrown away like used trash
I have a friend who lives in that immediate area, and we have discussed how it seems to me that there are an inordinate number of sex offenders located in Florida. In this case, they have already interviewed 88 in Somer's immediate area.
However, a search of my own neighborhood turned up quite a few. Sad news now that I had to leave my daughter home alone to catch the bus alone and return home alone in the evevening.
Which brings me to my ramble. Oprah went around the world looking at the lives that some women lead. In Denmark (which data show are the happiest people on earth), she intereviewd a young mother who had left her twins outside in their carriage to nap in the day air.
"Aren't you afraid to do that" Oprah asked
"No"
"Well what about kidnappers, or sexual molestors"
"We have never had that here, anywhere in Denmark that I know of"
I could not help but think how nice that must feel, and it made me feel even worse for little Somer.

I'd love to move to Denmark but I think their weather would deter me. I need to move to warmer climate for all year around...tired of the cold here. 
I can't say it was a good decision ... it was just a decision.
