<span style="font-weight: bold">Milo</span> – funny you should say that because while I was beating up myself for not setting the alarm, the cops told me these prof crooks know that even if the alrm goes off there is still a LONG response time til the cops show up and that’s so true. In that 10 –15 mins of response time they can grab what they want and go. And to think the house is plastered with ADT signs back, front and sideways. Ther is a group of Hispanics next door that is doing some renovations on an empty house and mi a try figure out how dem neva si nutten.. mi wanda if a dem break in

Anyway Like all of you I am just so glad it wasn’t worst.

Wendy, yuh may waa put ah camera pan di back door, as well as a motion sensor light (if yuh noh hav wan yet)? Throw in couple tigers tuh.............well skip dat. Jus get wan good dawg like smaddi sey.

I 've lived in the country for lang time and never lock mi doors....I told miself I'd move if I ever had trubble. Two yrs ago sumbady came into the place while it was vacant and being renovated,..... ransacked everything, but only stole my AK 47 and my Enfield (which I had WELL hidden) and my mountain bike, and a jar of quarters....leaving checkbooks, credit cards,etc (Crackheads)...... They had gone through personal stuff, which bothered mi the most.
I've moved since, and still don't lock mi doors. Don't let fear overtake you.....gotta have faith!

Wendolino, I am so sorry this happened to you. There is little good left in this world in which we live.

I, too, was burgled many years ago on Christmas Eve. It was horrible. I understand the violation thing, but I agree with you that being in the house while it happened must be even more horrible.

I did not sleep the whole night after being burgled. {{{Wendy))

J-kid - my 2 suspicions are Kids from the neighborhood school . Just seconds away from the house and (2) dem people we a wok pan di house next door

I have sensor lights like you siggest but dem only wok a night time. ..Since dis was a daylight event yuh know dem neva come on \o/

J – that’s a good idea.

We’re actually in the middle of researching cameras as well for our place.

I’m hoping we can put something in the back and on the front.

There's so much to choose from - so many systems - it's almost overwhelming, but in the end, I think it'll be well worth it.
