I did once have wan crazy azzxed principal who openly fired the girl's bastketball coach and openly stated that he was firing her because she was having her SECOND illegitimate child. He openly stated that she was a &quot;bad influence&quot; on the girls because of this. She sued, they settled it out of court.

So where was the moral's clause when this Principal's former student came by the school often to bring their baby to visit daddy? Everyone knew it was his, he made no secret of it, and everyone always commented on how cute it was and how it looked JUST LIKE DADDY.(By the wasy she was STILL at the school when she became PG)

This Principal finally got fired when his football coach impregnated a student, He the assistant principal (because he had knowledge of it), and the coach =FIANLLY were fired. Where is he now??? An Administrator in Mississippi. That's what they do, get in trouble here, go down the road to Missisippi and they will hire them.

I've never in 35 years of teaching been asked or required to sign a morals clause. That must be in other states (not NJ) or in another time.

Queen...
It used to be here that EVERY SINGLE year aound the end of July you would get the lengthy document in the mail that you would sign and send back.

I am ashamed to admit I never read it word for word, just signed it and sent it back in, I had a job, that was all that mattered to me.


However, once I did read some of it, and yes, there was a vaguely worded part that had to do with how you conducted yourself.

ALso there was a part that stated that if the State of Tennessee were to run out of money for some reason, you would work for free. That one always spooked me.

Somewhere in there , is another clause that reads &quot;and other duties as assigned by the Principal.&quot; That is the one they throw up in guidance counselor's faces when they want you to do something you shouldn't , like in my case, which was the thing that made me retire, My Principal wanted me to participate in searching the students for drugs and weapons. When I had a talk with her about it, this is the clause she threw up....I went home.

(disclaimer: /several years ago they no longer sent the contracts out, I guess they are saving paper. I guess the teachers just work under assumptions now)
