What galls me is how the family and others keep riding this song about how <span style="font-weight: bold">“different”</span> and bad the Italian legal system is.

Different, different, different – that’s what they keep saying.

On Friday nite I saw a loud mouth woman on Larry King. She previously lived in Italy for 4 years.

She’s writing about the Knox case.

She actually said <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-size: 8pt">(seriously, I’m not paraphrasing here) </span></span>that what people don’t understand about Italy is that – it’s a country where if you don’t know someone, have money and power, you’re more than likely going to be found guilty.

Couldn’t the same be said of the judicial system here in the US???

OJ proved that indeed money can get you off no matter what colour you are. Green trumps black, red and yellow.

I was talking with my Mom about this case over the weekend.

More than the judicial system of a foreign country, more alarming to me <span style="font-size: 8pt">(but ironically, understandably)</span>, is that a parent will almost always say, <span style="color: #CC0000">that their child is innocent – could NEVER EVER do this or that – I know my child inside and out – Suzy would never – Bobby couldn’t ever</span> ...!

Look at that idiot mother and father in FL : Casey Anthony, when murda di likkle pikni Caylee...

It’s not often you’ll find a parent entertaining the thought of their child capable of doing any ill.

Now, of course, I’m not saying she wasn’t murdered or she was deserving of any foul play, but look at Natalie Holloway. Her mother made it seem as if her daughter were in training for placement in a convent.

We all know kids – especially American kids – aren’t going away to the Caribbean on Spring Break so they can have a quiet place to practice piano, philosophy or brush up on the new testament.

No, I wasn’t there when Laci Peterson was killed but from what I saw of that case, I’m SURE they got the right man.

If Jesus Christ himself came down to earth tomorrow and told the parents of Scott Peterson that he killed their daughter in law, they wouldn’t believe it.

I suppose it’s natural.

It’s hella hard to give up your kid – admit your kid is not who you think they are. You're always going to see your child as <span style="font-style: italic">'your baby'</span>.

Truth is, you don’t always know WHAT your kid is doing when they’re not in front of you.

one thing that stuck out for me in this case is that Amanda initially said it was a guy from the Congo - a pub-owner - who killed the girl. They arrested Congo guy and jailed him briefly, but he turned out to have an airtight alibi. Amanda didn't even apologize to the guy - even though she said it was police pressure that made her accuse him.

all i could think was - typical american female strategy, try to pin it on some black guy, cause really, who would the authorities believe over her?

i understand congo guy has filed a civil suit against her.

I followed this case, Amanda is from Seattle just up the coast a piece. And actually the prosecution didn't have a &quot;mountain&quot; of evidence. Nor did they establish a motive... &quot;a sex game gone wrong?&quot;

But there are a few items that have been completely blown off as not important. Like how did drugged and sexed crazed kids clean up the horrible scene and leave no real DNA, finger prints or foot prints. Where are their own blood covered clothes. Where is a history of violence in the two young people, or history of risk taking with sex and violence? How could two young people accused of a drug influence impulse murder NOT confess after being in jail for two years?

Then there is the problem with the prosecutor, Giuliano Mignini link. There is a great deal about Guiliano on the web... he believes in conspiracies. He is the <span style="font-style: italic">original</span> Dan Brown.

The murderer Rudy Guédé, I believe, is in prison. Amanda and Raffaele Sollecito were roped into being prosecuted by their affect at the time of the crime, and how they stood up to long intense interrogations. I must have been looking at the wrong case then ..

They did establish Motive. She did not like her housemate and it was clear there was some jealousy there as well. I think what may have tipped her over the edge is when the boss reprimand her for not showing up to work and threaten to fire her and replace her with the housemate (why is that I dont know)

They presented evidence based on witness testimony, cell phone and computer records and forensic evidence such as a kitchen knife belonging to her boyfriend and that his DNA was on the blade and Knox's was on the handle. :thnk:

Not all murderers have a prior history of violence ..whole heap first offenders out dere ..especially those who commit crime outta passion.

And her demeanor in court mocking the system sure didn’t help. Not that makes you guilty but he sure makes you look like you believe you are “above the law”.

Consider another case concluded today where a royal harpist (top job),was convicted for her part in burglary - was drugged u on heroine, good education, supportive family...not black...
