All mi saw was The Weekend Update (them version of the news). Dem said, "In sports, PGA Golfer Tiger Woods was in an automobile accident just outside of his Florida home. It is being reported that he hit a fire hydrant and 4 women fell out of the car."

one of my favourite episodes of South Park dealt with the issue of a kindergarten teacher having sex with 4 yr ole Ike. Ike's brother, Kyle, keeps trying to report it to the cops but all they hear is that a young guy is having it off with his teacher. &quot;Nice!&quot; is all they can say.

I often wonder in this Tiger Woods situation how really upset men are that Tiger isn't being treated as a battered husband. Do they really see him as a victim of domestic abuse, and therefore entitled to all the sympathy and support and services that say, Rihanna had?

This one especially, although convicted, didn't face any real public recrimination and her sentence was exceedingly light. Had she been a man, attractive or otherwise, public reaction and the legal outcome would have been very different indeed.

On the one hand, abuse is abuse. On the other hand, the physically stronger partner isn't viewed as a victim - no matter how bashed up he (usually the man) is.

Let's not discount how much perceived physical attractiveness plays in this too. Imagine if Ellen Degeneres and Portia di Rossi had a big bust up. I bet Portia would get more than her fair share of sympathy no matter who was in the wrong.

You have a point there Blackstar.

But let me say this about SNL and comedians in general. I find that they feel the &quot;pulse&quot; of the general public before they go off making jokes about a particular incident. The Rihanna situation had a sense of seriousness to it with very serious legal implications and the mood of the public in that case - no one was laughing. They could have spun it and showed Rihanna hitting Chris (that’s how the fight started) but they left it alone. SNL from what I gather, knows when to step in and when to stay out of public discourse.

naw man..Chris is s rapper wid <span style="font-weight: bold">supposedly</span>mostly black fans...Tiger is a whiteman dream ...good at a white man sport ,distances self from any blackness, n even more, neva bring no noticable black unsavouries into the clubhouses...

anyway...there is nothing wrong with the skit! i think it good for his tail. he was talking all that crap about Mike Vick and having a responsibilty to address his fans and thye public when he was accused in the dog fighting deal..but look at him now! hiding in his home after his woman done beat him silly, den gon pay her to stay!!...TIGER IS WEAK! and i enjoy watching his humiliation

yeah, what did he say about Vick?

on the other hand, i find little if any sympathy for Tiger Woods.
Its difficult to be sorry for a &quot;black&quot; dude that is making bazillion $$$$$$ for playing golf, and the first thing he does is to go get himself a white blond , and actually marrys her.
No matter what doe, this dude wll be rakin in the dough while many of us still gotta work, suh mi nuh see him at no deficit in this stance.
This too shall pass and america will soon have a baloon boy or white house party crashers to focus their &quot;borgish&quot; attention on.
