The health care bills proposed, though far from perfect, would decrease the federal deficit.

What shouldn't be ignored is the fact that greater access to health care for more Americans serve to strengthen the social safety net. A productive citizen is healthy. He/she shouldn't have to die because of lack of insurance.

The stimulus has pretty much done all that it can do in creating jobs - and it wasn't big enough in the first place. You will see sustained growth in the job market when businesses start to grow/expand, or new small businesses are created. The large corporations are going with a leaner staff roll to maximize profitability, and small businesses need capital, and the banks - mostly the bailed out ones - aren't lending.

This IS the bottomline X.. A just the harsh reality im havi face.. Is like when yuh expect somebody fi give yuh a money and dem pramise sey yuh wi get it in a yr... until den, yuh still bruck and helpless til dat money actually reach yuh hand.. Barack himself has done nothing wrong in fact he is to be congratualted for saving the economy of the USA and the world from total collaspe. He could not have created one more job. Government in the USA do not create jobs, it can only create the environment to enable business to grow and hire. that he has done.

Where he has failed is within the Democratic Party. Hi failure proves what is fact of politics in the USA, the POTUS is virtually powerless if he cannot convince the all Party's Senators and Congressional representative to line up behind his policies and worse if he cannot convince a significant number of the Opposing Bench to go with him.

He has reached too far over to Republicans and failed and the Democrap Party true to itself has found a way to undermine and water down or just plain block every Policy initiatives that he has tried.
The problem is with the Democratic Party not the POTUS,

All dis mi try do an the fact is - its nothing but a sham! I am not having trouble paying but thought the plan should help since the value of the home is upside down the balance owed. Mi was politely told mi need fi come up wid X amount a dalla fi get the loan re-financed. Wasn't worth it And if was such an effective pgm the foreclosures would go down drastically.. They have not and that's because the pgm is expensive to take advantage of.

...but that just a perception of Barack, he was a centrist from day one. He right of the Democratic Party on all issues except the conduct of the war in Iraq, Diplomacy and Social Programmes. They should have seen it coming.
The problem is he met an even more Right Winge Democratic Senate who could not even get out their own way far enough to help him on some important matters.

As for Foreign Relations I give an A- it good that he has kept the USA from meddling in most Countries affairs. He failed on Cuba, he should have forced Trade over politics and he is about to fail in Haiti by going too far to Militarize and Americanize the relief efforts.

Kia ..no one is saying the list isn't factual. I hear those claims on the news everyday from MSNBC to NBC to CNN to CSPAN ..what is being said here is that those things have not yet transalated into people's lives..maybe this yr ..2 yrs from now ..who knows. But make no mistake, Obama's fate and how people view him is tied directly to the economic <span style="text-decoration: underline">reality </span>of voters' lives. People don't have jobs and none of that means jack squat to them now.

Either way, the Democrats would win but the outcome would not neccessarily be better. It's a moot point which one would be better as president since Hillary would come to the job with a lot of &quot;negatives&quot; and a fair amount of baggage included Bill. The Republicans were &quot;salivating&quot; for a Billary team in the W/House. One thing I am sure of, is that her H/C bill would never make it through however &quot;good&quot; it would be...

Barack was dealt a very difficult hand which the entire world understood. He has done remarkably well, given the big economic mess and challenges he inherited. It's not something that he could fix in a year, which some seems to expect he had a magic wand to wave, and all would be well and better than ever before...

One thing, we have all learned and many of us suspected, It was not going to be easy for the &quot;system&quot; to allow the first &quot;black president&quot; to unify a divided and racially concious country and successfully get all his plans/programs through the Congress... If they were to allow that, how would that make them look? Get the drift? Giving himself a &quot;B&quot; is understandable given what he faced...
