I was forced into early retirement 3 years before I was ready. Those 3 years were tough but I made it through. Then I became officially retired on paper 3 years ago and life is GRAND!

Being free from the hour by hour grindstone I have never been bored for a second. Not even a nano second! I now have time to do spend with art and my dogs. My art turned into a new career but since I'm doing it for myself, I can do it or not. I do it because it is what I love to do and it helps pay the bills. It supplements the official retirement paycheck.

Where did I ever find the time to work 60-70 hours a week, week in and week out with months going by with no day off? To top it off I had a 2 hour a day commuting time.

I'm pretty much the same amount of busy as I was when I was working but I'm only doing things I LOVE to do.

I was thinking about taking a vacation the other day. But quite frankly, vacation was NEEDED when I worked my fingers to the bone for others. Now that I'm doing what I want to do, it is like a vacation every day and I don't feel a need to &quot;get away&quot;.

Retirement is nice enoh...
