The whole Caribbean area was covered with rain yesterday, last night and this morning. In Jamaica the water is still running off though the rain stopped this morning. The gullies and drains are full. It really poured hard for the first time in months.

Apart from storage limitations, the lines linking the source to the resovoirs are 80% non-functional, due to blockages caused by silt and poor maintennance. The Yallas Valley pipeline that is supposed to feed the Mona Resovoir is practically zero functional. A shame on our managerial ability, considering the wealth that was invested into this potential water artery.
