i'd like to see a true economic breakdown of the &quot;illegal&quot; people in Arizona. a lot of the discussion has been about their cost to the system, but what has been their contribution to the state of Arizona - in particular, what have they saved business through their lower labour costs, and what have they contributed through their spending of those wages in the local economy?

There is no racial profiling...they're playing hide and seek with the law!! The unfortunate fact is that they are predominantly Mexican, Central and South Americans. Why the hell should I have to pay taxes, bust my A$$ to make ends meet, only to watch them sneak across the border, work for cash, pay no taxes, expect to get benefits and representation while not deserving it. How is that fair to you and me??

I'd say your two cents worth was greatly overpriced.

You forgot the most important thing you get as a citizen of the United States as regards the peoples of Latin America; you get to pay the taxes that supports a trillion dollar military empire and vote for the people in the government that are responsible for enforcing a form of capitalism on these poor people that does not work in Third World countries.

This creates a system of haves and have-nots where there is up to an 80% poverty rate. This crushing poverty is what is driving these people in such great numbers to try to make a living in the much much richer United States.

Perhaps if you'd spend less time blaming the victims and fighting against economic imperialism you wouldn't have to gripe as much about &quot;illegal aliens&quot;

Were the United States to allow these countries to have the type of economy and government that THEY want there would not be an illegal alien problem.

Try studying the U.S. foreign policy history of the past hundred years and stop listening to right wing millionaire radio ENTERTAINERS so that you have some idea of the background of the problem.

i seem to remember him making some comment about mexicans doing jobs EVEN the blacks won't do...

al sharpton running to arizona to increase his political capital...
black people up in arms bringing up talk of slavery and jim crow and apartheid...
i understand their feelings and empathize...

but why is sharpton not talking about the jim crow we already have against blacks with the prison industrial system and the economic boom of law enforcement occupying the black ghettos to round up and criminalize black males especially...

i don't see the latinos supporting us as vociferously as we support them...but fiyah haffi bun pon babylon racist shytstem sed way...
