The legal team representing Christopher "Dudus" Coke will be heading back to the Supreme Court on Friday.
The attorneys will try to get the High Court to set an early date to hear an application seeking a judicial review of the Justice Minister's decision to sign off on the request from the United States government for Coke's extradition to stand trial in that country.
The attorneys, led by Don Foote, filed a motion on Wednesday.
Don Foote.Foote told RJR News that he will be going to the Court Registrar to have the matter dealt with urgently.
<span style="font-weight: bold">"The Chief Justice has referred me to the Court Registrar, whose responsibility it is to arrange to have an available judge hear the matter as a matter of urgency. I've spoken to the Registrar who has asked me to return to the Registry to find an available judge to hear the application for leave for judicial review of the (Justice) Minister's decision," he said.
Coke's lawyers are also planning to seek an injunction blocking the execution of the warrant against him.</span>
If the injunction is granted, it could bar the police from arresting Coke.
