Marilyn, not meaning to mash up your thread here but we have a very beautiful, lovely woman who is a friend of the family. She is a loving mother of two and one of the most unselfish people I know. Anyway, her husband is a high ranking police officer who is "golfing buddies" with many of the judges in this area. He has been assaulting his wife relentlessly for years now. <span style="font-weight: bold">Who is she going to call for help?</span>
Well God will take care of things in the end because he was diagnosed with cancer about two yeas ago. She has been nursing the mother_f_er throughout his illness to this day. I learned over this past weekend that his end is near and it is just a matter of days for him now.
A collective good riddance from her friends and family. At least he will leave her with a police pension for all her years of suffering at his hands.
Edited to add that I am not insensitive to those with cancer, and would never wish that on anyone. I am just glad that it seems in this case God seems to have made a way for her to heal after years of abuse.

Anyway, good luck whatever approach you choose. </div></div>Ok, so we already looked into it, and it would take like 90% of the residents agreeing to an additional fee and agreeing on the covenants. From te various meetings we have held over the years, we can't get that concensus to have that done. The ummm "element" that is moving in now does not like rules, regulations, or "etra" charges, especially since they KNOW that some of those ocvenants are going to limit the 15 vehicles they have parked in the yard, make them paint, cut the grass mor often, and replace te matchstick back fences, in other words, keep their damn property up t osome kind of standard....all they know is they got the money together to qualify for the loan to move out here, and after that the rest is history to them

And you know, at his funeral and with the write-ups to follow, he'll be lauded as a 'just, loving, caring, loyal, committed' blah blah father, <span style="font-style: italic">husband</span> friend, and police officer.
.... and I know this sounds evil but....for everytime I am nursing him I would remind him if there is a hell he's going straight there and remind if what he used to do to me.
Hopefully Marily when the copper move you will get a decent neighbour. Thank you jesas that I live a bush my closest neighbour is bout 1/2 hour walk away from me.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Well since the housing crisis, the price you get for a home is way down, which puts it into the affordable reach of people who probably ordinarily could not afford it. </span> Also this particular house, you know how you have the high end house in your neighborhood, and then there is the smaller, low end one, this one is the latter. </div></div>
Hmmmmm Somehow I thought this was a good thing.. especially for up and coming families to get into their own houses earlier than normal..
I guess that's why people always tell me to stop looking for the good in everything cause everyting have a price.. But alas I cannot.. willnot.. shouldnot..

I guess the lady just took her vows more seriously "For better of worse, in sickness and in health....til death do us part."

so it goh </div></div>Well the history of that property has never been good so far. There have been 3 families there and a differentt set of issues each time. Could be good neighbors next time, could not be...we'll see right. Last time she tried to sell it she couldn't even sell it, so we shall see. Worse could happen is I still live next to party central.
