As you talk about Baygon spray.. I saw one in my garage one day and my lickle 4 yr old shi noh fear nutten..When mi a run North away fram him a scream an a galang like ediat...shi a roun South towards im a try ketch im.

Soh mi grab di only ting ina di house mi have and dat was Raid Ants spray Ask if mi noh douse im baxide.. But all dat dey spray do a wet im up ..Dam sinting fling im tail afta mi an walk wey . Brite!!

LOL some more. I would rather deal with a mosquito, fly, or spider as well and I'm not even scared of lizards as long as they are outside. I just don't want them in my house.

Now roaches are my phobia. I absolutely cannot stand them and go to great lengths to make sure I don't have to deal with them. However, if I was going to have to go to war with one roach or one lizard in the house, I'd have to choose the roach lol.

I don't know if I believe a lizard could take out one of these Georgia roaches that some people try to call waterbugs so I don't think they help control them at all.

Those little lizards can handle big roaches.

Because their mothers did &amp; their grandmothers did and so on.....

A lizard of the small size that most of them are in Jamaica, cannot harm you, in fact, they will run wey from yuh.

It's a cultural thing, because most kids in America will try to catch them, including the girls. My son, when he was about 5 used to catch lizards &amp; crabs on the beach in Negril &amp; chase big men wid dem!!

yeh, in Hawaii &amp; Japan lizards and geckos are considered good luck &amp; that's what kids grow up learning. they also really are a huge help in controlling the insect populations. if one is seen on a wall or verandah, especially at auspicious occasions like weddings or christenings, ppl are happy, and point it out to others saying 'oh <span style="font-style: italic">look!</span> good luck! good luck!&quot;.... and leave it be.

i personally think they're cute lil things...

Dat's why mi kill it instantly, widout a second glance!....I had never seen a spider before here in Jamaica that brown color, so I knew about the &quot;brown recluse&quot; &amp; figured it was better off dead, just to make sure!....mi fraid ah tings dat are pisen!!

I can't tell when last I saw a fly in my house...never had any roaches either (tank gad)....hmmmmm.... The only bugs I see in my house are ants by the window sill...

Many years ago when I was still living at my parents house, dis brite and facety roach decided to crawl across my face at @4am..one piece of commotion I cuased in the house...woke up everyone and was not happy until someone killed it and sucked it up with the vacuum!!!

But when you live a Yaad with windows &amp; doors open all day long, you're bound to have some undesireables cum een.....like lizaard, roach, fly, spider, etc, etc....mi cyan close up evryting wid noh air ah cum een, soh haffe deal wid dem......mi nevah seh ants becau dem dun now. Dey were terrible this year, but then just dissappear same like dem cum een.....maybe I can plant seeds now &amp; no ants will eat dem!

My 2 cats, G0-G0 &amp; Gato Negro will both go after the lizards, mice &amp; roaches (big ones), also rat bat, if they see dem &amp; small bird, aldoah mi hate fi see dat. By the way, contrary to most Yardies view of cats, dem nevah teif nutten &amp; nevah goup pon de counter, cause they are well fed &amp; have been trained not to do that &amp; also don't cum een the bedroom.
