JAMAICA UNDERWEAR RUN HEATS UP CENTRAL PARK WITH ISLAND SIZZLE –
The blistering heat couldn’t deter the 500 participants who convened in Central Park and stripped down into undergarments decorated with Jamaican flair. The black, green and gold of the Jamaican flag illuminated the park as runners embarked on a 1.7-mile run and were greeted at the finish line with the pulsating reggae rhythms of the JAM-X Band. The participant with the best Jamaican costume won a trip to the Rose Hall Resort & Spa, a Hilton Resort, with airfare courtesy of JetBlue. The Jamaica Underwear run kicked off the 2010 Nautica New York City Triathlon weekend on July 16.
