Again, completely missing the point. The poster indicated that it was a bad idea for a person of color to ask a Caucasian about an issue of race. It was not suggested in those posts that it was a bad idea to call Dr. Laura in particular, rather it was based on her ethnicity. So unless we are equating ALL Caucasians with being grand wizards of the KKK - totally missing the point.

As I was the person who said it was foolish for a BW to ask a WW for racial advice, I answered your question and added the exceptions because in life nothing is ever completely B&amp;W. It really is an absurd argument to condition the end of white racism on black people being perfect. We hear these comments all the time: &quot;black people sold black people&quot; to justify slavery; or when someone is wrongfully convicted of crime, &quot;well he wasn't completely innocent anyway&quot; if the person has a prior record. That cannot be a basis for justice and equality because in that case no one on the planet would be deserving. We have to understand that so we are better able to answer people like Dr. Laura and not blindly as-similate and repeat the rhetoric.

Ironic. I implied no such thing. My simple and restated opinion, is <span style="font-weight: bold">to pre-judge a person no matter their ethnicity is wrong</span>. So saying it is &quot;foolish for a BW to ask a WW for racial advice&quot; - is making a pre-judgement based on ethnicity. That's all. If I am wrong, I would appreciate being shown where - otherwise my point about the incapability for having a discussion about furthering ethnic understanding is made.
Instead of us using our energies in this forum to have a honest discussion about ethnicity, we are instead distracted by the noise.
