Update: The police are at this moment making it clear the events which transpired during the Hostage situation.

The police report that the hostage situation at the Juci Patties
Store in downtown Kingston has now ended with no injuries.



The police also say the gunmen who entered the facility and locked
away staff seem to have escaped through a side door shortly after they
entered the patty shop located at the corner of West and Beckford
streets and drew down the shutter.


It seems as if the staff members thought that the gunmen were still in the building.

The police have also reported that no customer or child was involved as had been previously communicated.


All released hostages have since been debriefed and have been counseled. (Gleaner)

Confirmed: Detectives will be collecting statements from employees of the Jucie Beef Patty outlet on West Street in downtown Kingston as the security forces try to make sense of what happened there on Saturday.
Gunmen reportedly invaded the fast food outlet and held five workers hostage demanding money. Investigators are puzzled as to how the gunmen left the building undetected.(RJR)
