Yes – we’re looking into that right now. Want to do it right and raise the issue properly and just one time and to the right person or entity at the Decameron.

What’s most hurtful to me, is that they haven’t stepped forward.

She worked there a good while – had she NOT been working there – had she not been murdered by an employee of the hotel, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

A responsible employer in this type of situation, to me, would step up, help with the funeral/burial expenses some or even set up a little scholarship for the children. Wouldn’t even have to be for all the children – just the youngest, for example.

But for them to not have even made a peep – very painful.

I suppose there’s plenty of blame to go around tho. We don’t even know where the kids father is here in the US.

So, Marksman has decided to show a tad bit of decency. More that they were publicly shamed into being decent, but that's another story.

They've said they're going to step up to the plate with the funeral $. Let me leave it at that for now.

They're still holding the killer(s) but haven't yet charged them with murder - they're waiting for him to get a lawyer.

We've also located the father of the kids here in the US. He's not working. I'm certain he'll find a way to get down there for the service and children, etc. It's been some time since he was in JA and saw the kids. He's talking of filing for the younger children. Who knows when that will happen. And who'll take care of them in the mean time. Have mercy ...

Of course there's the expected, much squabbling going on as we do. You know family. One side wants her buried down in Ochie - the other wants her buried up in Saltrum, where we're from (this is just up by Gayle). It's ridiculous and really just the sad result of combined grief, disrespect and oneupsmanshipping.

Other matters, I wish some of in the family would just leave alone. There's a woman at the company who wanted my cousin's job and who was (it's well known) vehemently upset that she didn't get the promotion. She often threw words that my cousin wasn't going to last long in the position. Some want the police to purse this avenue - feeling that she inveigled the men to kill her.

I wish we could just move on. Prosecute her killers and move on.

Gen, Stormmey - thanks much for the thoughts and good wishes.

Our next move is trying to see what can be done for the kids and set up a solid plan for who's going to be taking care of them. Their dad is very wishy washy so who knows - he'll say one thing today and another tomorrow.

They need some stability and help to get thru this trauma.

At least they have someone in custody tho - at least.

Yes - we have a short list of things we want to do - or to <span style="font-style: italic">think</span> about doing. But you know - they DO have a father (not to disrespect but, I use the term loosely). It's hard to just press forward without his input - no matter how wishy washy he may be. Have to give him the benefit of the doubt tho.

Plan is to sit with him after the funeral and see what he wants to do - <span style="font-style: italic">then</span> tell him what our thoughts are.

If he steps up or wants to participate or has his OWN plan even - then great. If not, we have to keep moving. The kids simply have to be protected.

What a sad horrific life to wake up to - that your mother was killed at work - over pure BS!

The whole ah dis so horrible, Yuri.....so many innocent victims apart from the deceased....so sorry for the kids who've had their whole world turned upside down and also for all those who have to take care of all the details....my prayers are with you! Dats a heavy load to bear! ((Yuri))
