Yep and it's just a baby with a whole heap of moisture on its north-side so even if the winds subside it appears that we're going to be flooded out again.

The country lack the basic infrastructure required for sustainable development.
Water I'd the most import ingredient in the functioning of a civilized society.
Yet the educated is not aware of it.
Unless Jamaica achieve the sbillith to use water as s tool of development instead of as s means of destruction as it has been ever Since the end of slavery, the country will be a basket case with runaway crime bred from perpetual poverty.

Re: Major Hurricane to be - Tomas
If Tomas tracks and intensifies as predicted, then Jamaica and Haiti and maybe the Dominican Republic are going to have hurricane force winds for a few days and not the usual few hours. This is because Tomas is going to slow down dramatically as it turns so a direct hit is irrelevant.
The north coast especially Portland will be devastated because of the counter-
clockwise circulation of the winds. There will be disaster on the south coast too but the wind will not be as direct because of the mountains.
If the hurricane doesn't make the expected dramatic turn "den wi caanaz even daaka"!
Are the authorities going to wait or anticipate?
I hope all the predictions are wrong and this thing just goes away.

Guys there is going to be death in Haiti in the next 72 hours.. it wont be pretty.... As petty as this seems it would be better that it continued west as Jamaica is better prepared than Haiti at the moment....

Let me write it louder.
Come closer do That you can hear.
Intelligent people Do not try to stop mother nature.

One of those engineering feats is called bridges.
